Ventrilo is a voice communication program used by the guild to assist with raids and instances as well as general chit-chat.
It a must have service utilised by all raiders. The Souls of Soldiers Ventrilo server is for use primarily for Souls of Soldiers members. Although this is a guild ventrilo server, if a non-guld member wants to use our server to communitate with a Souls of Soldiers member, they may do so. Any groups of non-members that wish to use the SoS server must first approach an officer and ask for permission. This also applys to guild members who intent on inviting people to communicate while not playing World of Warcraft.

Server Rules:
1. No spamming of SoS Ventrilo information at any time to any individual/group, unless you have a sufficient reason for the individual/group to require it ( e.g. Dungeon Party/Raid). Authorisation from an officer is also required if more than 1 non-guild member is to be informed of server information.
2. No Slander – i.e. Do not swear at another member (however, profanity in general conversation is tolerated – so long as it is not excessive). Inappropriate conversation topics can also warrant you being banned from the server.
3. No yelling into your microphone or noise pollution at anytime. Offenders will be warned (or moved to vacant channel) once. Repeat offenders will be banned.
4. Log into Ventrilo using your known name. If you are using a name that is not known to the moderators/officers, and u do not identify yourself in a timely manner, you will be banned from the server.
5. If your login name and/or phonetic contains and profanity and/or racist remarks, you will be be asked to change it or banned.
6. Do not join a channel that is being used for a raid/instance, unless someone from the event has given permission and/or you are required for some reason to do so. Channels are made to separate conversation and as such, a group that is running a raid doesn't want people spamming it with general chatter.
7. No talking in the AFK channel. This is a low codec channel used for people to show other users that they are temporarily Away From Keyboard, as such voice communication (i.e. data transmission) in this channel is prohibited. (Its not hard to move to another channel)
Please note SoS Ventrilo server at this time only contains 30 slots (30 Users connected at one time). It is expected that users not running in a particular event requiring high slots, will disconnect in order for people running the event to connect.
Admins and Super Admins have the [Admin] and [Super Admin] prefix respectively on the server. Any issues can be directed towards them at any time.
In addition to the above rules, Please note that Souls of Soldiers Ventrilo Administrators reserve the right to kick or ban anyone that they believe has breached the server rules. Any appeals or ban/kick issues can be sent to officer@soulsofsoldiers.net.
